Commercial Coronavirus Cleaning & Disinfection Services Spruce is Now Certified for COVID-19 Cleaning & Remediation

The recent worldwide COVID-19 pandemic has caused a lot of fear and confusion throughout our world. While we are all tasked to social distance and many are staying in their homes, some essential industries and workforces must still carry on.

What we know about this Coronavirus is that it is particularly resilient and can survive on surfaces for up to 17 days. Additionally, those who have been exposed to and infected by the virus may not show symptoms up until approximately 14 days after the initial contact, making it extremely difficult to track and contain. That’s why it’s important to utilize a trustworthy and professional disease and biohazard remediation company during this time.

Spruce is proud to announce that we are certified to clean infectious disease and biohazard remediation, including Coronavirus disinfection. We are committed to providing the highest possible standard of service to help protect you and your employees during this outbreak.

  • We follow strict coronavirus demobilization procedures for our own equipment, vehicles, and waste storage areas

We Are Here For You & Your Business

When selecting a company to provide Coronavirus Disinfection Services, it’s important to choose one that is OSHA compliant and follows all CDC guidance regarding COVID-19. Employers should be aware that there could be consequences for not adhering to these guidelines, as seen below:

The General Duty Clause, 29 USC 654, section 5(a)(1) requires that employers protect their employees from recognized hazards.

“Each employer shall furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees.”

The Coronavirus is not listed as an exception to recording an occupational illness in 29 CFR 1904.5(b)(2). So, if an employee contracts COVID-19 from another employee or through occupational exposure on a cleaning job, the illness is recordable on the OSHA log for that business. If it results in job restriction, days away, or fatality, that is also required to be recorded.

Employers are requirement to contact OSHA to report any hospitalization or fatality resulting from COVID-19. In the case of a death, an OSHA inspection and investigation would follow, and could result in a fine if it was determined that the company didn’t take measures when they knew about it and should have.

Disease outbreak is extremely serious and we understand that the health and safety of you, your family, and employees are on the line during this pandemic. Why take chances when you can rely on professionals.
